Space.City is run entirely by a board of dedicated volunteers. No one on the board receives monetary payment (but we do get cheese, wine, and friendship).
-
Yes! We are always looking to grow our board and list of volunteers. Everyone is welcome, no matter your skills or the time you can commit. We have a laundry list of plans and updates to implement, so take your pick.
-
Many ways! Send an email to info@spacecityseattle.org and introduce yourself. Or, come to an event and talk to one of our volunteers.

We have a couple different types:
Keynote lectures are held at the Seattle Public Library, Central Branch downtown. These are auditorium lectures with ticket check-in and purchase outside the auditorium.
Salons are smaller, more intimate talks and Q&A's in spaces with more limited capacity, like Peter Miller Books in Pioneer Square.
Art Walk events occur a couple times per year at LMN Architects' The Shop in Pioneer Square. These events are free and open to the public, taking place during the Pioneer Square First Thursday Art Walk. -
Please do. Let us know at info@spacecityseattle.org.
-
Yes! Whether or not you're able to make it to a lecture, the happy hours afterward are always free and open to the public. These are always immediately after the lecture at LMN Architects' The Shop. Come drink, eat snacks, meet the speaker, or buy some merch. We always have a pretty good time.
